Covid-19 education health insanity outrage

What the f... is going on in this world? Is sense ever going to make a comeback?

Are we stuck with educators acting like complete nutcases?

How can we ever respect teachers and schools after this? They are showing themselves as complete buffoons!

Suppose we tested everyone for the common cold, using a test that has 10% false positives. If we treated everyone who dies after testing positive for the cold, as a death caused by the cold: what would be the estimated infection fatality rate?

It would look pretty much exactly like this picture.

If you multiply out those survival rates by the population in each age group (in the US), you would predict 2.4 million dead Americans if everyone is infected. Or 1.2 million dead Americans if 50% of people are infected.

2020 had almost 500,000 more deaths than expected.

The death rate for 2020 was about 10.1 per 1,000.

Yeah, even the relatively non-alarming CDC numbers are still an overestimate of how "dangerous" this virus is.

After the follow-up post, The cynical pandemic, I'm now pretty sure that a substantial proportion of excess deaths in the US is because the governors of the 5 states (that we know of) sent people with respiratory issues (that were labeled as Covid) from hospitals to nursing homes, and forced the nursing homes to accept them.

That was done on purpose to make Covid scarier.

This then provided justification for the same governors to unconstitutionally change election rules mere months before the November election, which allowed fraud such as this:

In short: at the very least, Covid was used as an excuse to rig an election and rid the country of Trump (who it turns out was a much better President than the media would have you believe, and a much better person).

All of this is done by highly cynical people who literally sent patients with respiratory issues to nursing homes to drive up the death count.
